Another great visit at the Pumpkin Patch. We love the cozy quiet suite upstairs for reading and relaxing. Breakfasts were delicious and sitting by the stone fireplace watching the birds outside a perfect way to start the day in the beautiful green mountains of Vermont. Thanks, again, Debbie and Rich, for sharing your beautiful house and company.

Our stay at Pumpkin Patch B&B was surely the best in our New England autumn foliage trip. Debbie and Rich are great hosts. We felt very welcomed at their home and enjoyed every minute there. Rochester is nice small village in central Vermont, surrounded by beautiful hills. The Pumpkin Patch B&B adds much to it. Thank you!!

Thank you! Thank you for an amazing little fall vacation that was so needed. Thank you for being so gracious and making us feel like we are home. Thank you for the wonderful food and conversation. It was such fun learning about this house and about how the three of you came here from New Jersey. And a bigger thank you for "The Nail Game" and the huge fight it caused - kidding, ha ha. I am so glad I spied this great little B & B on my way to Saranac Lake last summer, and that I'm obsessed with pumpkins :) . I just knew I would stay here one day. I'm so glad that I got to stay with the three of you. You have a lovely home and grounds. I wish we had more time to just relax for a day and read outside - maybe next time! I will be sending people your way. All the best!

We are so glad we found this place! It was perfect for our little fall getaway. The suite was so comfortable, quiet and peaceful. It was just what we both needed. Our hosts and fellow guests were very friendly and laid-back. I love all the little details in here that make this feel like hone. Actually, it's like home, but with gourmet breakfasts, a magically made bed, and clean towels every day! Oh, and let's not forget the cookies! Rich and Debbie, you two have this inn-keeping business down pat! All the best to you and your family!

We were so lucky to drive up on a sunny fall day and stay in this perfect place. It seems that I've been imagining this forever, and it matches my dreams perfectly! To wake up to the sun on the orange leaves, a delicious breakfast and your friendly manner. Blessings on you and your family.

We spent three wonderful days with Debbie, Rich and Karissa in their beautiful home. We appreciated their kindness and availability. We stayed in their studio suite, which was very nice and very clean. What can we say about breakfast? Every day was something different and very refined, it was a superb cuisine. The tea house in the Pumpkin Patch B & B was conveniently located opposite of a beautiful park in the beautiful town of Rochester. During our stay, we had a mechanical problem with our car. Rich was remarkably efficient and dedicated in helping us solve our problem. We have very fond memories of this stop in Vermont. We hope to return see you again during a future trip.

Thank you Deb, Rich and Karissa for an extraordinary stay in your warm welcoming home. It felt like we were home for the weekend on a Wednesday! We loved all the settings around the home that we got to enjoy: the screened-in porch, the sitting area, and the fireplace. You definitely made us feel welcomed. This home, in this town, in this narrow green valley will leave a lasting imprint in my memory of my bicycle tour around the Northern Tier of the US - Seattle Washington to Bar Harbor, Maine. Thank you for making this journey so special.

P.S. Lived all those wonderful pumpkins everywhere - bought the pumpkin lamp in the porch, worth every penny. Just finished our amazing breakfast - loved the food and the fascinating stories. have a good life Deb, Rich and Karissa. <3

Thank you both for a wonderful weekend. Our family loves coming to the Pumpkin Patch. Our room above the barn is perfect. Coming back in the evening to find cookies and tea - A perfect way to end a wonderful day. Debbie, your pancakes are the best I've ever had! Can't wait to come and see you all again. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving. The Durants

Cute and cozy describes this B&B from top to bottom. The rooms all have their own bathrooms and are decorated in pumpkins and historical furniture. There's a lot of history with this house and the owners have done their research to be able to tell you about it. The owners are really friendly and will make you feel at home. They go the extra mile for their guests, making cookies fresh for tea and quick breads for breakfast daily. I love the tea station in the kitchen next to the wood-burning cast iron cooking (and heating) stove. Be ready to eat a hearty breakfast- you'll need it for all the hiking/skiing/leafpeeping the Central Green Mountains has to offer. I should also mention that the Pumpkin Patch B&B is a great value.

Hi Debbie & Rich, This is Gabrielle. I came to your B&B in 2008 when you were just setting up. I have such lovely memories that I just thought I would have a look on the web for you. I do your advertising over here in Australia, as I still have your leaflet and also many photos of the beautiful area. From the news over here, I figure you might be doing it bad over there with snow??? Well, just thought I would drop you a line to let you know you were not forgotten. Regards, Gabrielle

Alice & Tony

Thanks for such a wonderful day. Your home is the perfect pumpkin patch, warm and cozy. Your family made us so comfortable we felt so welcome and at home with all of you. The breakfast was just over the top (the crackling fire), the warm apple cider. We just couldn't stay on our diet - the pancakes with walnuts and bananas, the home made muffins were perfect. I look forward to returning next fall. Until then...Thanks again.

The Pumpkin Patch B&B is a lovely bed and breakfast in Rochester, Vermont. I stayed there for a friend's wedding, and was really impressed with the facilities and service. There were 3 rooms for guests; I stayed in one of the smaller Queen rooms, but it was essentially part of a suite. I had a library and bathroom to myself, so I was able to have a few friends stop by while we prepared our toasts. It was very comfortable and absolutely adorable. The breakfast was incredible. The first morning, Debbie and Rich, the proprietors, served pancakes of your choosing. I chose banana-walnut-cinnamon pancakes topped with local Vermont maple syrup, and they were divine. They came with a variety of breakfast breads / coffee cakes, as well as a fresh fruit cup. All in all, it was phenomenal. The next morning, they woke up at 3:45AM to make me an omelet before I left to catch my 8:45AM flight out of Boston. I couldn't believe it! I think that alone speaks for the level of service they provide. Truly they're amazing. Moreover, I left a set of keys there and they shipped them back, free of charge. If you're ever in Rochester, VT, I strongly recommend the Pumpkin Patch B&B!

Palo Alto, CA

The most beautiful home and the most gracious and wonderful hosts. We stayed at the Pumpkin Patch B&B on June 14, checked out on June 15th. Rich and Debbie Mathiesen, and their wonderful daughter Karissa, treated us like we were longtime friends. Their house is gorgeous - beautiful, stately home. The breakfast was phenomenal - Rich is a master pancake chef. We highly recommend the Pumpkin Patch -- it is truly a home away from home and then some!

Pumpkin Lover

My wife and I stayed with Deb and Rich after riding 130 miles on my bike for the 6 Gaps of Vermont ride. We very much enjoyed their relaxed style and comfortable conversation. The breakfast was wonderful and the tour of the Pumpkin Patch was full of history of the house - dating well back into the early 1800s. Our room, on the second floor, was quiet and private with full access to a den filled with lots to do. We will go back. Maybe in the winter and get snowed in. :)
